Draft — setup started but the ring was never opened; no one was invited.
A draft never had its ring opened, so nobody was invited and no signature can exist yet. You can resume editing it, or discard it — nothing has been sent to anyone.

Collecting — the ring is open and waiting for COSignees to sign.
The ring is open and live: every invited COSignee has a working link, and the ceremony updates in real time as each one signs. You can send reminders or re-share a link from here.

Closed — every signature is in and the ring is sealed. This proof is permanent.
Every COSignee has signed, the ring is sealed, and the proof is permanent — it can be independently verified forever, with or without COSigna. Download the recap or certificate any time.

Expired — the signing window closed before the ring completed.
The signing window closed before every COSignee had signed. The document was never fully signed, and no further signatures are possible on this ceremony — start a new one if you still need it signed.

Aborted — the organizer stopped the ceremony before it closed.
The organizer stopped this ceremony before it closed. Any uploaded document was erased, and no signature is legally meaningful on it — signers who already completed their step were sent a notification if they had notifications enabled. The draft and any uploads were destroyed.
